Ra

I have been experimenting a little with my 'Ra' ring (Flow Range). The symbol for the Eye of Horus was the inspiration for the design. It was my least favourite of this sculptural range of rings. By placing gemstones in different places, the ring takes on a new character. I am liking Ra more now (:

Enthrone

This ring is a little different from the other rings.
It does not stand alone, rather, it needs the gemstone to complete the design.

Flow

Flow

Rhythm and Motion,
Water and Wind..
The ebb of Emotion and
Flow of the Ocean.

This is my Flow range.
It is an expression of the joy of movement. Of grace, and poise. Of sculpture. Of balance and beauty. And love of form.

Trio

I originally called this ring Creepy Crawly because it wraps its arms around the finger like a little creature. I decided on Trio instead (some people don't like spiders!)

Some variations below:

Duality

I have been experimenting with Rhino, an autocad drawing program. It is quite difficult to draw the curves that make up my Flow range. Rhino is easy for more geometric designs. Plotting the points for curves takes a long time. Some things are quicker and easier to do by hand! I guess its all about learning how to use the tools..

I ended up carving the ring out of wax and then making a mould of it. Same mould, many variations - also great when worn next to each other as their forms allow for interesting negative spaces. Imagination is a vast playground.

The inspiration for this ring is the On/ Off power button on the computer hard drive.

Zen Ring

Design

LG Technology inspires me. I enjoy their clean use of line, minimalism in form.
This advert caught my eye - the curve of the 'foil' (weapon for the sport 'fencing') bent up against the slender machine looked beautiful to me. Such perfection is simplicity. I copied the 2 lines and added a third, and the Zen Ring was born..

Below are variations set with gemstones.

Inspired by the shape of the eye... I stylised the lines and came up with this ring.

Flow

These are 2 pairs of earhugs that I made.
The inspiration for the fitting onto the ear came from a pair of earrings I bought in Israel some years back.
Thank you for visiting my space...

Have a perfect day
