Auction Set
Earrings, ring and Neckpiece Set (Sterling Silver, Cubic Zircona)
"Simplicity"
I was approached to create an inexpensive set for a charity auction.
I chose to make a simple neckpiece with matching earrings and a ring, all set with cubics.
The price came to R2500 and I marked it down to R1800, as my contribution to this charity affair.
I am quite happy with the pieces, though they are a bit ' Bling ' compared to what I usually create. I have used the earring design before, with Topaz instead of cubics.. The stone were more expensive and therefore smaller, so I made a back plate to create the illusion of a bigger stone..
I love the simplicity of the design, basic geometry and clean minimalism.
These pieces reflect a lot of light due to the high polish of the surface area of the metal, catching the highlights of the gemstone beautifully.
