Duality

I have been experimenting with Rhino, an autocad drawing program. It is quite difficult to draw the curves that make up my Flow range. Rhino is easy for more geometric designs. Plotting the points for curves takes a long time. Some things are quicker and easier to do by hand! I guess its all about learning how to use the tools..

I ended up carving the ring out of wax and then making a mould of it. Same mould, many variations - also great when worn next to each other as their forms allow for interesting negative spaces. Imagination is a vast playground.

Chantel, your technical virtuosity amazes me...you can express yourself in so many materials and styles, from earthy organic wood, to the graceful flow of this ring, to your acrylic pieces that are sort of futuristic/retro at the same time to me...lovely lovely ring!
